About Julie

Julie is more than just our Co-Founder and CEO; she is versatile and wears many hats.

For the most part, Julie is an internationally recognized award-winning designer and serial entrepreneur.  Julie stands out as an Australian leader in business  but also passionately advocates for inclusive diversity across gender and age, pioneering spaces that resonate with the evolving needs of our ageing global population. Her career path is testament to the remarkable feats one can achieve with determination and tenacity.

Enduring the profound impact of two personal divorces ( yes, you heard right, two) , Julie intimately understands the emotional and financial turmoil they bring, especially to children and families. Through these experiences, combined with her co-conspirator Melanie, they both share a vision; hence The Divorce Studio was formed. Julie is a firm believer that education is the key to a better future. Providing individuals with the right tools and guidance during separation can navigate the pathway to more positive outcomes.

While her shelf boasts numerous awards, accolades, and academic degrees, it is through her personal journey that Julie knows the emotional depths – from despair and disappointment, to fear and loneliness that separation & divorce brings. It is her aspiration, through The Divorce Studio to empower individuals to make sensible decisions guided by a long-term plan, rather than short term anger.

The Divorce Studio - Practical Support

Relationships are hard. Full of ups and downs. And when there are more downs than ups, people often start thinking about ending their relationship. This is where The Divorce Studio can help.

In Australia, 30% of marriages end in divorce. And while there are nearly 90,000 wedding celebrations with cake, flowers and vows of eternal love each year, there are also more than 50,000 divorces each year. Behind the statistics are real, individual stories of grief and confusion, and people who don’t know what to do next.

That’s why The Divorce Studio was founded. To help you solve problems, reduce the fear and stress, and keep you out of court. To give you power and knowledge at an awful time.

The Divorce Studio is Australia’s first online resource dedicated to navigating family breakdown, step-by step. No matter where you are in your journey, we have what you need to solve problems and create a better, more loving, family focused post separation relationship.

If you’re thinking about separation or in a trial separation, we provide practical information and advice about how to save your relationship. If it can’t be saved, we’ll guide you through the steps to create a respectful, low conflict and low-cost separation and divorce, and the support you need to plan for and thrive in your new life.  All in a calm, family-focused way.

The Divorce Studio’s team includes a family lawyer, leading relationship experts, a mindset coach and a financial wiz. If things get really tough, we’ll refer you to trusted mediators experienced in resolving problems and reducing conflict.

We share the personal stories and experiences of other divorced couples so you know you’re not alone.

And when it comes to the legalities, The Divorce Studio offers low-cost documents which set out your financial and parenting orders, including splitting superannuation, transferring property and avoiding stamp duty. These can be lodged with the court and the orders made by consent.  That means, you don’t have to go into Court for the orders to be made. Then we’ll help you finalise the transfer of property and superannuation orders and tell you how to lodge your application for divorce.

The Divorce Studio will help turn the worst of times into the best possible outcome for your family.  A positive, low conflict, low cost separation and divorce is possible, and The Divorce Studio is going to help you achieve it.

Protect yourself & your family  with confidence by using our experience, guides and tools.
